Kamran Amin Khan arrested for threatening to bomb CM Yogi Adityanath

Mumbai: Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested one person from Mumbai for making a threat call to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a bomb blast.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested one person from Mumbai for making a threat call to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a bomb blast.

The accused, one Kamran Amin Khan, 25, was apprehended from Chunabhatti area of the city by Maharashtra ATS on Saturday

Maharashtra ATS set up a trap in Mumbai's Chunabhatti area after tracing the WhatsApp number to the Mumbai area from which the threat to blow up Adityanath was made on UP's helpline number 112 some time ago.  

It was reported that Uttar Pradesh ATS alerted their Maharashtra counterparts after which the latter moved swiftly to nab the suspect.

UP CM's security was beefed up in the aftermath of the threat and an FIR was registered in Gomtinagar Police station against unidentified persons under the Sections 505(1)/(b),506 and 507 of the Indian Penal Code. 

Maharashtra authorities acted swiftly and nabbed the suspect within 48 hours of the threat message being received. The threat was made late Thursday night, said reports.
