Coronavirus news live updates: As the coronavirus case count in India nears the 80,000-mark, India has announced measures amounting to over Rs 3 lakh crore for migrant workers, farmers and other segments of the economy in a bid to help those hit hard by the nationwide lockdown. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday announced government’s plan to start inter-state portability of ration cards under the public distribution system (PDS).
